Alternative Process

I began dabbling in the alternative process world back in 2016 when I learned how to make cyanotypes from Gail Erwin. Then when the pandemic hit in 2020, my interest in alternative processes really took off. That summer I took a plant-based printing class where I learned the anthotype, chlorophyll, lumen, and phytogram processes from Anne Eder. Later in 2020 I also learned ziatype from Anne and gum bichromate printing from Diana Bloomfield. Since then I have added the platinum/palladium (with Diana’s help), Van Dyke, and kallitype processes to my printmaking techniques.
